Whole30 Challenge: Day 13
Monday, March 13th
DISCLAIMER:
If you haven't already read my disclaimer, please click the link HERE from Day 1 of our challenge. As with any lifestyle or dietary change, if you have any questions or concerns, be sure to discuss them with your physician. Also check out the Whole30 website for specifics and additional info.
BREAKFAST:
Being low on groceries since we didn't make the best use of our time on Sunday, I didn't have too many Whole30 options, so I went for an apple with almond butter for breakfast, some black coffee, and a Blackberry Cucumber La Croix.
MID-MORNING:
Morning thoughts: I think I've reached an all-time low after finding almond butter in my low side pony... #dryshampoowontevenfixthat #nojudgmentplease
LUNCH:
Since I spent most of the morning working on the Weekend Recap (and removing said almond butter), and since hubs and I got distracted yesterday with home projects and the neighborhood potluck, we forgot to go to the store which meant limited options for lunch too. Luckily I still had some of my handy dandy back-up food within reach which consisted of Bilinski's Sweet Apple Chicken Sausages (with no added sugar) and the last of the Whole30 Sweet Potato Mashup.
Whole30 Sweet Potato Mashup
This is the same recipe for the Whole30 Sweet Potato Hash in Day 6, just without the ground turkey. To see the full recipe for Whole30 Sweet Potato Mashup, click the link.
TASTE TEST: The potatoes still tasted mighty fine as I reheated them on the stove to recrisp them. The chicken sausages are ok, but a little too sweet for me. I won't complain though since I avoided cooking so far today.
MID-AFTERNOON:
This blog post is going to be on the shorter end as my fur baby Miya is extra needy today which means me holding her while I attempt to type with one hand. #malteserulestheroost #yesthatis2LaCroixstoday
Last tangent. I have a feeling if we ever have kids, something like this is inevitable...
(BBC Skype TV Interview with Professor Robert Kelley that includes a memorable interruption...)
She is now sleeping so this is my sign I can quit early for the day.
PRE-DINNER:
Looks like another trip to the grocery store is in store so we have a few more options besides apple chicken sausages...
DINNER:
So I'll be honest, someone forget the Bachelor finale was on tonight, so that meant 3 unexpected hours of meaningless distraction instead of going to the grocery store... Priorities people. I'll get back on the horse tomorrow, I promise. So dinner was more of the same, Aidells chicken sausage, Clausen pickle with almond butter (yes, I know I have interesting cravings) and the remaining kale chips. I'll step up my game tomorrow!
